Afetes is a village in the municipality of South Pelion, in the Magnesia regional unit of Thessaly, Greece, at an elevation of 240 metres and 23 km in a straight line from Volos. At the 2021 census it had 221 inhabitants.

Afetes is a village and a former municipality in Magnesia, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality South Pelion, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 80.744 km2. The seat of the municipality was in Neochori.
